BORN TO CREATE

A RIFF, A DREAM, A HAT

Born in Cedeira, Marcos Souto spent his youth thrashing out 80s-and-90s heavy-rock riffs, convinced he’d one day own the stadium stage. Reality threw him a different set list: Naval-Engineering exams, coaching badges, and long afternoons between the posts for Somozas, yet the music never turned down.

One hazy practice session he spotted the thread tying all his idols together: every rock icon wore a hat. He pitched the idea to his father (master of wood and silent resolve), who carved a set of wooden blocks from scratch. Side by side they hammered out the first prototypes and Marcos still bends each crown on those scarred moulds, every curve loaded with a riff, a memory, and his father’s quiet grit. No repeats, no shortcuts, just stories you can wear.
